Queen's University Biology is a leader among Canadian universities in providing premier field experiences. Field research spans the gamut and includes work in resurrection ecology and paleolimnology, behavioural ecology, evolutionary ecology and genetics, comparative physiology, conservation biology, nutrient cycling, and ecotoxicology. Collectively, we work on aquatic invertebrates, plants, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. Our undergraduate field courses and research activities span the globe including locales in Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and North America, and spanning marine and freshwater aquatic environments to forests, deserts, and tundra.
